I'm 5'11" and weigh 280lbs. My wife has a '97 Savage and she lets (wink-wink-nudge-nudge) me ride it from time to time. It has PLENTY of power, and the ride is good too. There are some things that can be done (as with any bike) to make the ride more comfortable depending on individual needs. Going used will save some cash up front, but be careful. Get to know the individual that is selling it, or if it's at a dealer, ask them if the bike shows any signs of abuse (your own good eye should be able to spot some if there are any) and that will tell you alot.
